The Beginning
Every journey starts with a spark. Mine ignited from frustration—watching talented creators struggle to afford the tools they needed to bring their visions to life. Premium VFX assets were locked behind expensive paywalls, creating an unfair barrier between creativity and execution.
The Problem
The industry was broken. Platforms like ProductionCrate shifted to subscription models. Megascans, once accessible, moved behind Unreal Engine exclusivity. High-quality EXR sequences? $50-200 per asset. For independent artists and small studios, this wasn't just inconvenient—it was career-limiting.
Building the Solution
I'm Ammar Khan, and I started creating assets out of necessity. Sharing them on social media for free, the response was overwhelming. Artists from around the world reached out, grateful for resources that respected their financial reality. This wasn't just a hobby anymore—it was a movement.
A Different Approach
CGHEVEN was born with a radical philosophy: no locked content, ever. Every asset available in multiple formats—EXR, ProRes 4444, H.264, Green Screen. Every resolution—4K, 2K, 1K. Where others saw revenue opportunities, I saw barriers to creativity that needed to be demolished.
The Early Access Model
Sustainability matters. The $5 Early Access model was the answer—supporters get assets 3 months early, then everything becomes free. It's not about gatekeeping; it's about rewarding those who help us grow while ensuring everyone eventually gets access.
Beyond Assets
Assets alone aren't enough. Many creators struggle not because they lack resources, but because they lack knowledge. CGHEVEN expanded to include comprehensive tutorials in multiple languages, bridging the gap between having tools and knowing how to use them.
