How to Add Transitions Between Videos (Step-by-Step Guide)
Step 1: Open Your Project
- Open the CapCut app.
- Create a new project or open an existing one.
- Import multiple videos into the timeline.
Step 2: Remove the Watermark
- Scroll to the end of the timeline.
- Tap on the watermark clip.
- Select Delete.
Your project is now clean and ready for editing.
Step 3: Review Your Clips
- Play the video from the beginning.
- Watch carefully to decide where you want transitions between clips.
Transitions appear between two video clips.
Step 4: Locate the Transition Box
- Between two clips, you will see a small white box icon.
- Tap on that white box.
The transition panel will open.
Step 5: Choose a Transition
- Browse through the available transition categories.
- You can explore sections like:
- None
- Classic
- New
- Hit
- Overlay
- Tap on any transition to preview it.
For example, choose a Black Fade transition to smoothly fade from one clip to another.
Step 6: Adjust Transition Duration
- After selecting a transition, look for the duration slider.
- Drag the slider:
- Left → Faster transition
- Right → Slower transition
- Adjust it according to your preference.
- Tap the check mark to confirm.
Step 7: Preview the Transition
- Play the video again.
- Check how the transition appears between the two clips.
- If it does not appear, reselect the transition and confirm it properly.
Step 8: Remove or Change a Transition
- Tap on the transition (white box).
- Select None to remove it.
- Or choose another transition style to replace it.
Final Result
After completing these steps:
- The watermark is removed.
- Transitions are added between clips.
- Transition speed is adjusted properly.
- The video flows smoothly from one clip to another.
Your video now has clean and professional transitions applied.
