Hello everyone, welcome to Class 14.
In today’s class, we will learn how to use the blending tool in CapCut.
Step 1: Import Your Video
- Import the main video you want to edit.
- Play it once to check the content.
- Remove the watermark: tap on it and delete it.
Step 2: Import the VFX Overlay
- Example: We want the bench in the video to catch fire.
- Go to Overlay → tap Add Overlay → select your VFX file from your gallery.
Note: The fire VFX used in this class was downloaded from the CGHeven application.
Step 3: Download VFX from CGHeven
- Open Play Store → search for CGHeven → install and open the app.
- Inside the app, you’ll find categories like:
- Atmosphere VFX
- Fire VFX
- Lightning VFX
- Tornado VFX
- Muzzle Flash VFX
- Explosions, Sparks, and more
- To download Fire VFX:
- Tap Fire → choose See More for more options
- Select a VFX → choose resolution (1K, 2K, or 4K) → tap to download
- Check the Completed Section to see your downloaded VFX and folder location
Tip: CGHeven also provides tutorials inside the app for learning VFX techniques.
Step 4: Apply Blending in CapCut
- Import your downloaded VFX into CapCut.
- Tap on the VFX layer → go to Splice/Blending options.
- Different blending modes are available:
- Filter → removes black background (use this for fire, lightning, or VFX with black backgrounds)
- Darken → keeps black background intact
- Overlay, Slide, Lightning → remove background depending on the mode
- For fire VFX, use Filter mode to remove the black background.
Step 5: Adjust VFX
- Scale: Select the VFX layer → increase or decrease size as needed.
- Position: Move the VFX to align it with your main video action.
- Brightness & Saturation: Tap on the layer → go to Adjust → modify brightness and saturation to blend seamlessly with your video.
Step 6: Preview
- Play your video to ensure the VFX is properly blended and looks realistic.
