1. Download the App
- Open Play Store
- Tap on the search bar
- Search for “Edits”
- Tap Install
- Once installed, tap Open
2. Login Setup
- When you open the app, you will see the Instagram Login
- Connect your Instagram account
- After logging in, you’ll enter the main editing interface
3. Interface Overview
🎬 Timeline
- This is where your video is placed and edited
- Currently shows a black background (we’ll learn how to add this in next class)
▶️ Playback Controls
- Play button → Preview your video
- Undo / Redo → Fix mistakes easily

5. Timeline Tools (Tap on Clip)
When you tap on the timeline, more options appear:
- Split
- Effects
- Adjust
- Filters
- Delete
- Crop
- Mirror
- Cutout
- Overlay
6. Import Media
- Tap the ➕ (Plus icon)
- Import videos or images
7. Preview & Export
- Use the preview to watch your final video
- Tap Export (top bar) to save video
- HD Option:
- Enable if your device supports it
- May not work on all devices
8. Project Settings (Arrow Next to “New Project”)
Tap the arrow icon to access:
✏️ Rename
- Rename your project (e.g., Class 1 Done)
🎞 Show Frames
- Displays frame numbers along with the timeline
📐 Show Guides
- Shows layout guides:
- Main video area
- UI areas (like comment, share, profile)
9. Notes
- Guides help you position content correctly before export
- Always preview your video before exporting
