Importing Fire VDBs in Blender

  • Opening Blender 4.4 (works on Blender 3.0 and above)
  • Using Shift + A → Volume → Import OpenVDB
  • Importing multiple VDBs at once by pressing A → Select All → Enter

Applying the Fire VDB Shader

  • Going to File → Append
  • Selecting the downloaded Fire VDB Shader file from CGHeven
  • Opening the Material folder and appending the shader
  • Applying the Fire VDB Shader inside the Shader Editor
