Curve & Spiral Setup
- Press Shift + A → Curve → Path
- Add a curve to the median line.
- Adjust the radius and set the height.
- Create a spiral around the target object.
- Rotate the curve 90° in the Y direction.
- Scale to fit around the object accurately
Mesh Conversion & Geometry
- Place rings around the object’s center.
- Go to Object Data Properties → Shape → Max/Min G.
- Extrude along the G/Z direction.
- Convert curve to mesh (Object → Convert)
Modifiers for Proper Wrapping
- Apply Subdivision Surface to add extra geometry for wrapping.
- Apply Shrinkwrap Modifier:
- Select the target object.
- Set method to Target Normal Project
- Enable On Surface
- Adjust the Offset to prevent mesh collision.
Finalizing the Model
- Apply all modifiers in proper order:
- Subdivision Surface
- Shrinkwrap
The model is now ready for texturing.
